Refunds, Cancellations and Chargebacks

Refund and cancellation decisions normally belong to the merchant because the merchant sold the goods. QrX can help with the payment-side status when a refund is started through QrX or the payment provider.

Refunds

If you want a refund because of the goods, delivery, cancellation, return, warranty, or merchant promise, contact the merchant first. Once the merchant approves or starts a refund through QrX, QrX can help check whether the payment-side refund is pending, processed, failed, or waiting on the payment provider.

Cancellations

Order cancellation rules are set by the merchant and applicable consumer law. QrX cannot cancel a merchant's sale by itself. QrX can only help with payment status and transaction references connected to the cancellation.

Chargebacks

A chargeback is handled through your bank, card issuer, payment method, and the relevant payment provider rules. If a chargeback is open, Fin should escalate the conversation to human support because chargebacks can involve legal, scheme, or evidence requirements.

Refund Timing

Refund timing depends on the payment method, payment provider, bank, and merchant configuration. A processed refund may still take time to appear on your bank statement.

What QrX Cannot Promise

QrX cannot promise that a merchant will approve a refund, accept a return, cancel an order, or resolve a goods dispute in a specific way. QrX can help with the payment information available in QrX.
