Frequently Asked Questions

General

What is QrX?
QrX is a European payment platform for Payment On Delivery. We help merchants collect secure digital payments when an order is delivered.

Is QrX the merchant?
No. QrX is the payment technology and payment-service layer. The merchant is the seller of the goods and remains responsible for product quality, delivery promise, cancellation decisions, returns, warranty, and customer-service outcomes.

Where is QrX based?
QrX B.V. is based in Harderwijk, The Netherlands.

For Consumers

Do I need to install an app to pay?
No. You can usually open the payment link or scan the QR code with your phone and pay in your browser.

What payment methods can I use?
Available methods depend on the merchant, country, currency, payment provider, and device. Common methods include cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, iDEAL, Bancontact, and other local methods where enabled.

Is it safe to pay with QrX?
Yes. You should only pay through the official QrX payment page. QrX does not ask for card details, passwords, or one-time bank codes through chat, email, or phone.

My payment failed. What should I do?
Try again if the page says the payment failed or expired. If your bank shows a reservation but QrX does not show a confirmed payment, wait a few minutes and contact support with the merchant name, order reference, amount, payment date, and email or phone used for the order.

Can QrX refund me?
Refund decisions belong to the merchant. QrX can help check payment-side refund status after the merchant has approved or started a refund through QrX or the payment provider.

My product is damaged, wrong, missing, or late. Can QrX fix it?
Contact the merchant first. QrX can help identify payment and tracking references when available, but the merchant is responsible for goods, returns, warranty, replacement, and cancellation decisions.

For Merchants

How do I start using QrX?
Contact QrX to create a merchant account, configure your payment provider, set up merchant channels, and choose whether orders will be created manually in PortalX or through API integrations.

Does QrX hold merchant funds?
Payment processing and settlement are handled by the configured payment provider. Settlement timing depends on the merchant agreement and payment provider configuration.

Can I use multiple merchant channels?
Yes. Merchant channels help separate brands, customer accounts, integrations, and support contexts. Use the correct channel identifiers in API requests and support workflows.

Can QrX help with customer support?
Yes. QrX can help with payment status, payment confirmation, PIN or payment link issues, duplicate charges, transaction references, and tracking data available in QrX. Merchants remain responsible for goods and customer-service decisions.

UPS Payment On Delivery

What is the QrX and UPS relationship?
QrX is the only UPS Payment On Delivery partner in Europe. Eligible merchants can use QrX to collect digital payments in UPS-connected delivery workflows.

Does QrX deliver the parcel?
No. The carrier handles physical delivery. QrX provides the payment workflow and payment confirmation.

Technical and API

Does QrX have an API?
Yes. QrX supports API and webhook integrations for order creation, payment status, tracking references, refunds where supported, and support workflows.

What should I include when reporting an API issue?
Include the environment, merchant or channel, order reference, transaction id, timestamp, webhook event id, status code, and a sanitized request or response body. Do not send secret keys.

Support

When will Fin escalate me to a person?
Fin should escalate when identity is unclear, payment records conflict, a legal or privacy request appears, a chargeback is involved, the issue requires a merchant decision, or live QrX data is unavailable.
