Pricing & Fees
QrX is designed to be transparent and fair. Here's how our pricing works.
How QrX Makes Money
QrX charges a small commission per transaction. This commission is configurable per merchant and per channel, so you only pay for what you use. There are no hidden fees, and a free plan is available so no monthly subscription is required to get started. Merchants choose a billing plan at signup and can pick monthly or annual billing for paid plans.
Transaction Fees
Each transaction may include the following components:
Payment provider fee — the fee charged by your payment provider (Stripe, MultiSafepay, Mollie, etc.) for processing the payment. This varies by provider and payment method.
QrX platform fee — a small percentage per transaction for using the QrX platform. This is configured when you sign up and depends on your plan and volume.
Carrier fee — if applicable, a logistics partner revenue share (for carrier-integrated flows like UPS PoD).
No Setup Fees
There are no setup fees, onboarding fees, or activation charges. You sign up, connect your payment provider, and start accepting payments.
SMS and Notification Costs
Payment-related SMS messages (such as payment links and PIN codes) are part of the core payment flow and are included by default; QrX covers their cost unless your merchant agreement states otherwise.
Track & Trace milestone SMS notifications are optional and off by default. When a merchant enables them, the merchant pays the SMS carrier cost for the destination country plus a small QrX platform fee of EUR 0.01 per SMS. The exact rates and an estimate are shown in the portal before you enable the feature, and a running cost overview for the current month is visible in your channel settings. Merchants can set a monthly SMS budget cap; when the cap is reached, Track & Trace notifications fall back to email for the rest of the month. Payment SMS messages are never blocked by the cap. Email notifications are included at no extra charge.
Settlement
Payments are settled through your payment provider according to the provider setup and merchant agreement. Settlement timing depends on your payment provider, payment method, risk checks, currency, and bank processing.
Invoicing
QrX provides consolidated invoices on a configurable schedule. Your invoice includes a breakdown of all transactions, platform fees, and any applicable charges (such as enabled SMS notifications) for the billing period. Invoicing follows your local timezone. Invoice PDFs include a payment link with QR code and bank-transfer (IBAN) details, and from the invoice you can open the exact list of orders it covers in PortalX.
VAT Handling
QrX supports configurable VAT handling per country and merchant channel. Pricing, tax display, and reporting should be configured to match the merchant's own tax obligations.
